About the event

Members: Volunteer to help dress bazaar guests in yukata and refine your dressing skills! Click the RSVP button to sign up.

Guests: Celebrate the season with a touch of Japanese tradition! At our booth, you can experience the art of kitsuke (着付け)—the cultural practice of dressing in kimono—and even try a summer yukata on for yourself. For those who wish to bring this beauty home, we’ll also have kimono and kimono accessories available for purchase.

Alongside kimono, explore a collection of handmade items inspired by Japanese arts and crafts, lovingly created by our Kitsuke Club Core Members:

  • Origami earrings (delicate origami paper cured with modpodge)

  • Obi kazari charms (decorative obi charm, adaptable as phone or key charms)

  • Ningyōgami (traditional style origami paper dolls with magnets for multiuse)
