About the event
Join us for a casual, plain-clothes meet-up Saturday, Aug.22, at 2 p.m. to learn how to braid your own obijime!
Let's relax, have refreshments, and practice the basic patterns of kumihimo, the craft of braiding cord, then learn a few new braiding techniques. Basic supplies provided.
We'll gather at the NC Japan Center at Spring Hill House at 2 p.m. and braid until everyone is confident in their new skills!
Traffic note! Parts of Umstead Road in Dix Park will be closed for a separate event. Please plan to enter the park through Bilyeu St, Blair Dr, or Hunt Dr and allow extra travel time, in case of delays.
